Bio Boutique is owned and operated by reptile hobbyists- We love reptiles and live/breath all things herpetoculture. The storefront is our way of sharing and spreading our passion and knowledge to the local community. The brick and mortar provides products and food to give your pet reptiles the best life possible. We also have a range of hobbyist focused items such as rat water systems, deli cups, shipping materials, hooks and tongs and other items you can’t find anywhere else locally.
Behind the scenes we produce- a small amount of select reptiles and amphibians, huge selection of isopods, frog-safe plants, private label substrates and hand picked leaf litters.
Origins-
We had been traveling with our products to reptile shows all over the midwest since 2019. From Minnesota to Texas, to Colorado to St. Louis. As the business grew, the idea of a shop came to the fruition when we purchased an old dilapidated building in 2023. We breathed new life into the space with blood, sweat, tears and a lot of creativity. Bio Boutique’s doors officially opened May of 2024 and it’s been growing more than we could have ever imagined since!
Randilyn, the owner, was born in Kansas and grew up walking through the woods barefoot catching box turtles and rat snakes, she had a love for all animals early on. In her teens, Randilyn started keeping captive bred pythons and soon expanded the collection to all manner of herps that she maintains to this day. Professionally, Randilyn has extensive animal experience spanning over two decades- from dog sports training to working in the zoo industry with great apes, African wild dogs and other rare species.
